As the cold weather and dark nights start to creep in, I am being drawn to darker, richer colours. I'm delighted to introduce my new Autumn/Winter colourway - Wine & Walnut.
At the start of this year, I introduced five colourways inspired by past travels abroad – looking through photographs and finding fresh influence and enthusiasm in them. This idea to re-visit was provoked by the year of staying home and longing for adventure. For the new A/W palettes I wanted them to contradict this with colours from my exploration of Scotland. This year I have explored places much closer to home through day trips or a few nights in cosy off-grid bothy's. The restrictions forced me to stay locally, slow down and it made me appreciate the beauty on my doorstep.
This palette is made up of rich wine, warm walnut and pinky-oatmeal. Hawthorn & heather inspired the purple based tone and the warm tones are from beautiful stones I found on Kerrera beach.
The palette runs through my core concrete vessel and homeware designs, available to purchase here on my online shop. As always the products are all carefully hand cast and finished in my studio in Edinburgh. Each piece is unique in textures and surface pattern - no two are ever the same!
